The media in Korea has dubbed you the “Won Bin of Thailand”
To be honest, I’ve been address as so for quite some time now. I’d like to thank them for thinking I look like him, because Won Bin is a quality actor. He’s a superstar in Korea. I thank them for giving me such deep respect. However, I don’t feel like I’m much like Won Bin at all.
When you go to Korea do you have many people greeting you?
The times I’ve gone to Korea, it’s more likely for leisure. I don’t go often though. I don’t have much work there either. However, the times I do go, the fanclub does walk up to me.
With this news, have you been contacted to appear at any events there?
Well, I do have some. Personally I do have some fans in Korea, but not much like I have in China, Philippines, because I’ve never had work that got released there. They more likely follow my work through youtube. If I had the opportunity, I’d also like to make a public appearance there too. I still remember that one fan of mine…She waited so long for me in front of the hotel. I went outside and told her I would be back shortly. Then I just went missing on her, completely forgot about her. 5 hours passed and she was still standing there waiting for me. It was so cold that day too. Korea’s really cold. I felt so bad for her. She stood in the same place and never entered the hotel because she didn’t want misbehave. I was so deeply touched by this. She was so adorable. When I did see her, I hugged her, kissed her cheeks and took pictures with her to give her comfort. I wanted to compensate her for the 5 hours that I forgot about her. I also apologized and told her I had no intention of forgetting about her. I went out and sincerely did forget about her…but she still waited around to give me a letter.
You have fans in so many countries now, how you feel about this?
I’m very happy. Knowing so many countries, it helps me build my experience. It gives me a chance to go to countries I’ve never visited before. It opens me to new opportunities and experiences. It allows me to discover and learn the different ways of civilizations.
