Kum Nang Kruan Episode 4 – 5
There isn’t many scenes of the present in episode 4 and 5 because it’s going to mostly introduce Yordlah’s story from her point of view. So, most of the time it’s going to be about the past that happened according to Yordlah. It looks like Yordlah’s gone through a lot of pain and heartache. There isn’t many cute scenes between Toomtam and Mo… ahhh I’m kind of craving for it. lol When they go to Chiang Mai, I don’t know if they will have anymore cute scenes. But sigh…
There has been an appointment a script reading between the main casts at Pe’Tha’s office. They will be reading 6 episodes but only the highlighted part. However, the light in the room starts to look like it’s going to die but not does not either. So they begin reading the script.
At the the same Yordlah at the old house says that finally everyone will know the true story.
Lindsay starts the script by calling the birds to come eat their food. The scene takes us back to the real scene with Yordlah. Yordlah loves these birds and feeds them. The two servants are afraid of the birds so they go back and sit down. Suddenly, the birds flee the scene and Yordlah accuses Dararai as the cause. Dararai explains that her accusation isn’t true. The reason why those birds flee is because of the big crow up there. Dararai wants to shoot it but Yordlah pleas no. However, Dararai shot the crow anyway. Yordlah asks Dararai to give the crow to her and she will heals the bird. Dararai refuses to but after thinking about it and allows Yordlah to keep the crow: “It’s just one crow. I can just give to you.”
At the temple, Yordlah is worry about hers and Dararai’s mother arguing again. The reason for their argument is because their father has Kru Babsy predicts the future. Yordlah tells Dararai that Kru Babsy predicted they will be fighting for the same man and becomes enemy. Dararai refuses to believe these prediction because prediction goes hand in hand with predictor. Yordlah doesn’t believe it too but Dararai catches a worry look on Yordlah’s face. Dararai goes to kneel infront of the Buddha and vows that she will never steal the same man with her sister in the future. Yordlah smiles at her sister’s vows. Dararai continues to say that if she ever breaks her promise then god should punish and torture her by not allowing her to reincarnate – … Yordlah then cuts Dararai off to say she believes in Dararai.
Lindsay is so into her script reading while Pimdao just read her script as normal. While Tripope reads his line: “What’s that instrument sound?” Rak answers that, “Oh it is plucking string. The northern people call it seung.”
Yordlah is actually by the river playing the seung. The two servants don’t understand a thing Yordlah is playing. Yordlah tells the two servants that she’s going to pick flowers for Dararai who is always staying home and sees nothing but the house. After picking up the flowers, she went back to the river and that’s where she meets Luang Thep. He explains to her his intention is not to be a voyeur or anything. He follows the sounds of the music. He introduces himself as Thep. Yordlah says that he must come with the group of diplomatic corps with their King from the south. Luang Thep admits that, that is the truth. However, Yordlah says that his skin is too beautiful to be a merchant thus he must be one of the diplomatic corps. If her guess is correct, he is Luang Theppakdee, the son of Praya Pichitchai, the ambassador. Luang Thep then guess that she must be the Jao Nang (princess) Yordlah. He praises that her beauty is just beautiful like the words people say.
At the pavilion, Luang Thep listens to Yordlah plays her instrument and praises that she is such a skillful person. Last time, she plays the string like a stream water. This time the song makes him think of the evening dazzling sky. Some lights move at a fast speed, some are so bright and some shrink away. It’s such a mischievous and naughty star. Yordlah is so mesmerize and praise that he really know his thing. Yordlah continues to play her seung and Luang Thep continues to look with admiring gaze. However, they were interrupts by Dararai. Luang Thep is surprise to see Dararai while Dararai is shock to see him as well. Yordlah introduces Dararai as her sister. Sparks flying around. HEHE There must be a story about these two.
Yordlah meets with Luang Thep at the pavilion again the next day. He brings her a poem he wrote of that she could probably play with. The lyrics read as: Her heart devour the stars in the sky. At some twinkling time the moon just secretly vanish and appear upon some town. She leaves me in sorrow looking for her. My heart hurts so much and cries for her in the cold day waiting for the day she will return to me.
Dararai visits Kru Babsy and tells him that she is hurting because she loves Luang Thep. Kru Babsy says that Luang Thep is her sister’s fiance. Her mom pleas for Kru Babsy to help her daughter and Kru Babsy says it isn’t hard if she wants him. They perform some ritual and some voodoo on Luang Thep.
At night we see Luang Thep waking up shirtless and going off to Dararai’s place. The two servants see a man but don’t know who it is. They just say that their little princess is meeting with a man. So, they reported to their King.
While in the room, Dararai and Luang Thep is getting it on. Her father and mother open the door and scream at her for being a bad girl. They see that the man is actually Luang Thep.
The two servants come running to tell Yordlah that Dararai is having an affair with some man. They’ve reported to Jao Luang. Yordlah believes that Dararai will never do such a thing. The two servants insist they are speaking the truth. Her father comes in to tell her that it is Luang Thep they caught. Since such incident happens, the only answers that Khun Pichitchai sees is to have Dararai married Luang Thep. Yordlah tears up in heartbreak.
Yordlah lives in sorrow while her sister gets to married to the man she loves. She wants to kill herself and decides that she will go jump on the mountain. When she is about to jump a senior monk stop her, saying that life is valuable and she should not be wasting it. She inquires who he is. He tells her that she is the one being trick by her own sister. Luang Thep has not stop loving her but it is because of Dararai’s black magic. Yordlah follows him to the cave and he shows her a scene that will happen in the future between Dararai and Luang Thep. He tells her that the spell enchantment is dangerous. Yordlah wants to go help Luang Thep but the monk stops her and says she still has 12 months. He is willing to teach her about the spells and that way she can break the spell incantation her sister puts on Luang Thep.
In the present time, Pimdao keeps thinking about the script. Tripope asks what she is thinking. She says that she isn’t trying to be problematic but she thinks the script is kind of strange. How? He asked. She thinks that the role Dararai has something more than that. Like for example, what about her relationship with Luang Thep or with her sister? Tripope teases her that is she afraid she will have small screen time? Pimdao, of courses denies the allegation. Lindsay comes running to Tripope and says that she is afraid to play with something strange in the script.
Basically, a strange monster spirit comes chasing after the servants in Kum Wiang Kaew. But Yordlah is able to kill it with the power that she learned. The monk says that monster is send by Kru Babsy. He also tells Yordlah that once she travels to Tan Pichitchai’s guesthouse with her father, it would be the opportunity for her to begin her spell. She has to be careful though.
Once Yordlah buries whatever she’s doing under the house, Luang Thep awakes in daze saying he’s hot and tries to kick Dararai out of the bed. He gets up and start walking towards Yordlah’s room. He is enthrall by her beauty and tells her that he is the one in the wrong for abandoning her. She is his moon. So, she says that he is her sun. And he confesses his love for her. That night, they slept together and thus he married Yordlah as well.
Lindsay is so into her script that she is about to do the real thing. LOL So, Pe’Tha tells her it’s only practice, there is no need to make it look real. So they continue to read the script.
Since the father does not know what to do, the only thing he could do is ask for Yordlah’s hand to marry his son. After he married Yordlah, he never goes back to Dararai’s house. Dararai’s servants want to come see what is going on with Luang Thep and why he does not go back to the other house. Yordlah’s servant says that it is probably because he’s not hot here like he would be over there. Dararai’s servants say it is them that use magic spell on him. So, they start fighting. Dararai comes in and tell them to stop fighting. Yordlah asks what Dararai is doing at her house. Dararai says that she only comes to get her people back to her house. Yordlah asks that are those servants are the only people she wants return? Yordlah then says that tonight she will tell Pe’Thep to return to Dararai’s place. Dararai tells Yordlah that there is no need, since Pe’Thep and Yordlah just got married, she supports them.
Yordlah gets angry and tells Dararai to stop being a fake. She accuses Dararai of using love spell on Pe’Thep. Dararai is confuse with the allegation and says that if she really use a spell on Pe’Thep then why is Pe’Thep with Yordlad? Yordlah retaliates back that she already counteract Dararai’s love spell. Dararai shock, starts to hold on to Yordlah with a force and push Yordlah to confirm what Yordlah has done. Dararai wouldn’t let Yordlah go so Yordlah pleas for Pe’Thep to help. Pe’Thep steps in and slaps Dararai and tells Dararai off. How dare she be aggressive towards his wife?! Luang Thep is about to slap Dararai again but his mother stops him.
Dararai informs her in-laws that Pe’Thep has not visit her for more than a month now. The mother-in-law says that don’t even talk about that, even her own house he hasn’t visit. He hasn’t done any work too. His politic works are all ruin. The sister-in-law informs her suspicion that maybe Yordlah has put a spell on Luang Thep. The mother agrees that it might be true because he’s change so much. So, they have to start fixing everything because if they leave it longer, he might be in danger. Dararai tells them not to worry because she also have her own teacher to help her fix this problem.
We see a scene of Dararai chanting and praying which awakes Luang Thep up just like the last time Yordlah did hers. Luang Thep goes back to Dararai and they do their own wifey and hubby stuff. LOL Yordlah comes to see the monk and the monk informs her that her sister is doing a spell again. He will help her. While, Khun Paeng and one of her servants see the whole creepy thing. The monk says he has to go because the wall has ears. Yordlah asks who is there and threw her hair pin to kill the servant.
In the morning, we hear that Khun Paeng is sick. They make up a story that the servant ran away with another male servant. The mother says in recognition, “Or…” So, she goes to see Dararai.
Yordlah and her servants lie that there is a corpse found at the river so that Dararai’s servant will go and they get to carry the food. Yordlah tries to put the holy water on Luang Thep’s food. She thinks that holy water will help Luang Thep return to normal. But Yordlah is caught by their mother-in-law. Yordlah throws every accusation at Dararai. She says she is only trying to help Luang Thep who is in a spell. Dararai denies doing a love spell on Luang Thep. The mother doesn’t believe Yordlah that Dararai would do such a thing. She wants to destroy the holy water. So, the two starts fighting for it. The mother falls off and die.’
Khun Laung Pichitchai comes back and asks for the real story. Khun Paeng says that Yordlah is a witch trying to use black magic on Luang Thep. Her mother finds out and Yordlah killed her mother to shut her mouth. Yordlah even uses magic to make her sick.
Yordlah denies the allegation and says the one who does black magic is Dararai. She and Luang Thep love each other but Dararai put a spell on Luang Thep. Dararai denies it and Khun Luang tells Dararai to shut up because it isn’t her time to speak. Yordlah says the mother misunderstands. They were fighting for the bottle and she accidentally slips. Yordlah didn’t mean to push or kill the mother.
The father does some chant to the holy water and we see a blue thing flying. They follow the blue mist to see that something is bury under ground. They dig it up to find a pot of something. Yordlah explains to Khun Luang that the casket is of an auspicious sign to protect everyone from the black magic that Dararai made on everyone. Khun Luang tells everyone to look at what is inside the pot. He drops it and it crack opens to reveals two doll with strings on them. Yordlah is shock to learn that that is a different it is a doll. She accuses Dararai of switching it up.
Khun Luang asks for Luang Thep’s decision. Luang Thep says he doesn’t know what to do because he is the reason why everything happens. Yordlah admits to killing the servant but she didn’t kill their mother. Dararai says to Yordlah that she believes Yordlah. Yordlah is angry and accuses Dararai of being a fake. Yordlah starts calling Dararai name. Khun Luang screams at Yordlah to stop and order the servants to lock Yordlah up. They send her back to the north.
Yordlah returns to Wiang Kao. Her father sees her as a shameless daughter who does black magic to steal her sister’s husband. Yordlah explains that she is being frame as Dararai is the one who starts everything. Her father refuses to believe her. He asks where she learned her magic spell from. She tells her father that she learned it from a recluse religious man. Her father guess that it must be Tayn-gra-am (dark senior monk). Yordlah asks how her dad knows. But her dad didn’t answer her, instead he say that evil Tayn deserves to die first.
Yordlah begs her father not to hurt the monk because he is an innocent. He understands her, is good to her and love her more than her father! Her father gets angry at her comparison. How dare she compared him to that evil man? He grabs his sword, but Yordlah’s mother tries to stop him and gets hurt instead. Her father orders the servant to chain her up.
Yordlah asks for news of her mother. The servants refuse to tell her the news. She guess that something bad must have happen to her mother. Both servants look gloomy so Yordlah knew that her mom must have die. The servants inform Yordlah that her mother was doing better until Dararai’s mother visit. Yordlah’s mother die that same night. Yordlah cries and blame herself for being an ungrateful child. She asks herself why would her dad allow another to kill her mother.
One day, suddenly it is raining. The servant tells Yordlah that even the heaven cries for her. Yordlah looks into the sky and knows that this is not a normal raining day. It is rain from powerful magic. One male servant informs Yordlah to stay in and do not come out to see if she hears any anything.
There is a fight going on and many servants are dead. Yordlah’s servants inform her that Khun Tayn is trying to help Yordlah but there is a fight between Tayn and Kru Babsy. Kru Babsy killed Tayn already.
The next day we see that Yordlah awakes with weird things on her face. She basically becomes sick after her master died. Yordlah becomes angry and vengeful. She goes out and kill two of her male servants. Her father comes in to stop her from cutting off the chain. He doesn’t wants her killing anymore people. He asks if she has repent yet. She says she’s not in the wrong, so how could she repent? Her father says she is getting out of hand and the chain probably will not hold her. She disown her father right there. Dararai is also not her sister. Her father yells at her to shut up. Yordlah retaliates that her father is bias and is bad. He believes in other people’s words rather than his own daughter. So in that case, she wouldn’t acknowledge him as her father.
Her father scolds her that he is the one who give birth and raised her. He loves her more than anyone yet what she gives him is betrayal. Since, she is this blind, the moon and the sun wouldn’t have a meaning to her. He will lock her up in this house till the day she dies. She says when she dies will be the day she is free from his so call justice. He tells her that even if she dies she will become an evil spirit so, he will lock her in this house and wouldn’t allow her to go reborn until the day she feels remorse of her wrongdoing. Yordlah refuses to be scare of her father’s punishment.
Yordlah is allow to visit her horse one last time. She says to the horse that even though the horse is a gift given from Dararai, she still loves the horse. The horse is good to her.
Yordlah becomes really sick and is on her deathbed. Luang Thep visits her. She thinks she is hallucinating but he informs her that it is really him visiting her. He tells her he is sorry that he abandon her. It is all his fault. She blames it on Dararai and not him though. She wants to play the song he wrote for her for the last time. She calls it “our” song. He tells her “yes, our song.” And on that she dies after playing several notes.
Pimdao waits to discuss about the script with Pe’Tha. She says that younger sister’s role should have something more than just trying to steal her sister’s lover. Pe’Soo agrees with Pimdao. Pe’Tha says he will looks into it and ask the writer what they can do about it.

Tripope couldn’t refuse so, as a gentleman he takes Lindsay home. Tripope takes Lindsay to her high end condo. There they also meet a strange new male character. Lindsay seems kind of afraid of him but not really. lol In her condo, she pretends to still have her headache. Then also fake fainting. She tries to seduce Tripope but Tripope decides to leave.
