Opal Panisara & Oak Smith Wedding Reception at Plaza Athenee: April 6, 2014
After making it legal signing their marriage certificate back in March during their engagement ceremony, “Opal Panisa“ and “Oak Smith” finally had their wedding reception not many weeks ago at “Plaza Athenee“ on April 6th. Their old Hollywood theme wedding was draped with different variations of white flowers adding sophistication to the lovely wedding. On such a happy occasion the bride and groom found it hard to hold back tears as both cried tears of joy they made it to a day many doubted.
Personally I never followed this couple in the past until their names landed in a wedding article about couples getting married 2013-2014. The article discussed the criticism they face when they were dating and how many doubted their union would last, from then on it made me a fan of the couple because I felt they face unreasonable criticism about their relationship. But it’s the price many pay when they’re public figures. I find Opal to be very graceful sentimental and Dr. Oak her perfect match with his sensitivity. I’m glad they found each other and made it this far along. Congratulations and may your union be an everlasting one Mr & and Mrs. Smith.
Some questions and answers from their press conference:
Are you ready to have babies right away?
Dr. Oak: Let nature run its course and let our fortune decide for itself. Lets wait for now.
Opal: Honestly we’re just allowing it to be. We haven’t set an agenda that we have to have one, but if the baby were to come it would be a wonderful thing, because we do want kids.
How do you feel about having surpassed all the negative criticism and making it to this point to get married?
Opal: There was a point that we made a decision together to feel indifferent to it and consider it a joke. I feel fortunate that I’ve finally met someone who loves me and I love in return to this extent. Therefore, what we encountered at the beginning with people being dissatisfied or gossiping. Although it was harsh we never felt it was an obstacle at all. Now that we finally made it to this day, I feel that I don’t want to live without him.
Dr. Oak: Everything that happens in our lives we can always have two different views of it. It could be something that will take us down, but it could also be something that tests us. Today we finally know who loves us and who has stand by our side the whole time. I believe that no matter how horrible a situation is there is bound to be something good to overshadow it.
What made you pick this person?
Opal: When I meet with any person, I never question. After meeting him I felt that from that from that day going forward till death there won’t be a day without him. This is something I never personally thought would happen to me. It never occurred to me beforehand that I would get married, that was until I met P’Oak. I finally understood the meaning of what people meant when they use the word “the one (khon tee chai).” I was no longer uncertain; no longer had to think carefully about consequences; no longer had to do anything because from the moment I met him I didn’t want to live without him. Now to this day when I wake up I see him everyday. Regardless of how difficult life becomes but when I see his face, all those difficulties end.
Have you made any promises to each other?
Opal: I told P’Oak before we signed the marriage certificate already that I’ve given him my life now, please take care of me.
Oak: We’ve spoken about this all the time that we will spend our entire lives together. Even to the day we grow old we’ll continue to live like this. This is the most important thing.
