Pancake Khemanit clears issue of her dog causing damages to others
I omitted the opening paragaphs from sanook…but to make it short Pancake’s dog Cupcake fled the house on 3 different occasions and caused harm to the neighbour’s chickens. After the 3rd incident the neighbour wants Pancake to pay 100,000baht in damages. The rest of Pan’s interview is translated in full from Sanook
Recently the leading actresses went on “Gerd Ma Kui” to discuss the incident
I will have to say first, that each time the incidents occurred I was never at home, I was at work. I learn of these incidents from the people at home during the occurrence which is my housekeeper. My dog fled out of our house on 3 occasions. The first time it happened, we already took responsibility for the damages. My dog brought back a chicken from that house back to our house. The chicken could have received some minor injuries. We set a vet to give treatment to the chicken, and the problem ended there. By coincidence it happened on a second a time, I was like “oh goodness.” But I’ll tell beforehand that each time these situations occurred, I apologize each time. I hurried to apologize, because I also feel that I don’t want something like this to happen.
The second time I apologize we recorded it. The other party threaten that they harm our dog too, so it worried us. We took measures that we’re not gong to let the dog off the leash or absolutely not let him wonder off. Then it happened on a third occasion, she slipped out of the house and entered their house, but didn’t cause any damages. Their door happens to be open. No one got hurt though. I tell them each time that I’m glad to accept responsibility for any damages. This is indeed the whole truth.
They’re asking for us to pay them 100,000baht for this incident. If there’s another incident that occurs then it’ll be one million baht. We didn’t pay them yet. My dad is the home owner so I’m going to let him take care of this. Honestly in my neighbourhood are full of people who love dogs. There are plenty of people raising dogs in my area. But it’s possible that the leash slipped and the dog is able to escape. The dog probably feels that area she use to run off to, so she’s familiar with it. That could be the case. The issue of closing our doors/fence it’s the right of each home owner. We’re going to take care of our own property and it’s our own negligence that we allowed our dog to slip out. However, each time it happened I apologized. I get on my knees and apologize. I don’t want to create trouble for anyone, or have problems with anyone. I will have my dad take care of this issue. Let’s see how they will come to an agreement to end this.
