The boys of Channel 3
“Boy Pakorn”, with his signature bearded moustache, is the oldest of the Channel 3’s , 4+1 boys. Making his debut before the rest of the boys, he didn’t get noticed until he paired up with “Margie Rasi” in the “4 Hua Jai Haeng Khun Kao ” series and than in “Roy Marn” , Boy found his Koo- kwan in Margie, and now are good friends with one another. Known for his playful, nd jokeful ways, he is also in a way a self-proclaimed ladies man. There has not been any big scandals that has affected Boy , and out of the 4+1 boys, he is the only one that was never been under Ae’s management. Boy’s fans are loud and proud, with over eight hundred thousands IG followers, he has one the biggest following of all the newbies and veteran male actors . Boy’s easygoing, loud, and confident ways has gained him an immense amount of fans. Will we ever see him take off his signature bearded mask? Or will his fans not recognized without it.
“Nadech Kugimiya”, one of Channel 3’s top young star, Nadech has made an impact we havent seen in a while. Nadech made his debut in 2010, starring as supporting to Mark Prin in “Ngao Ruk Luang Jai” than in the “4 Hua Jai Heang Khun Kao” series, where he became the breakout star of the series. This is where he met his oncreen sweetheart and Koo -kwan in “Yaya Urassaya”, where their explosive and sweet chemistry made them the shining stars of the series No one could have predicted his rise to fame, as producers from the series had doubts on his abilities and unconventional looks, citing his long face as a hinderance. But Nadech rocket to fame quickly despite not everyone believing in him. Three years later Nadech is still going strong, but not without some obstacles. Nadech made his debut into the movie world for the classic remake of “Koo-Kum”, failing in the box office. He also recently had a scandal with Unilever and Lips Magazine. It was rumoured that his mother demanded more money when they ask Nadech to hold the endorse product, resulting in Unilever to drop him as a presenter. Will his mother be the downfall to his career, will he ever be taken out of the tightly grasp fingers of his mom? Nadech’s career to stardom has been explosive, with his down to earth personality, charming good looks, will his reign on the top end or remain the same?
“Mark Prin”, known for his baby face, and called “sweet face” by his co stars and Koo -kwan “Kim Kimberley”. Mark made his debut in 2010. Mark has captured the hearts of the fans from both his co-stars in “Kim Kimberley “and “Mint Chalida”, many of his fans are broken into two, undecided to which Mark’s real koo-kwan is . Mark is constantly in the news with rumours of the girls whom he is dating . Now rumoured to dating “Vill Wannarot” from Xact, Mark has been playing it coy to where their relationship is at the moment. A producer favourite by the likes “Nok Chatchai” and “Khun Ja”. Mark has been praised that his face is that of ideal pra’ek and his career in the industry of that of a lasting and successful one. Mark started his career under the management of Ae Supchai, he has recently left Ae’s umbrella, and it remains unclear who he is now under. Is it a mistake on Mark’s part leaving on Ae’s management, will he prosper without him? Mark still hasn’t had his moment to shine, as he has been overshadow by his fellow co workers in regards to buzz and awards, but with backing of many producers, and consistent work, Mark’s career might be in it for the long haul.
“Mario Maurer” started his career as a model and was discovered in Siam Square, and made his big acting debut in “The Love of Siam” a movie about the gay romance between two teenage boys. Mario’s career is mainly movies, where he continues to push boundaries and comfort zone as a young actor. Mario’s good looks even has Korea taking notice, as the dubbed him “the Won Bin of Thailand”. Won Bin is very well known for his dashing good looks in Korea. Mario’s young career has not been without hiccups. Mario now under “Ae Supachai’s” management used to be managed by “Coco”, they parted ways after Ae lured Mario in for a more lucrative deal. Coco sued Mario for breach of contract, Mario than counter sued for airing out details of their contract. Mario’s bright star shines much brighter these days as his new film “Pee Mak Phra Khanong” with “Mai Davika” , has been breaking record left and right and is now nick named the “500 million dollar pra’ek” Mario had a eight year on and off relationship with his former girlfriend “Gubgib Sumontip”. They recently broke it off earlier this year, rumors persisted that “Mai Davika” was the third hand in the relationship. Mario’s boyish good looks, layered acting chops , and box office gold is a lethal combination of great success for Mario’s road to the future.
“Ken Phupoom”, before we knew Ken as “Ken Phupoom”, he was known as “BellBell Pongpanu”. Before his manger “Ae Supachai” took him to a fortune teller, whom advise them to change his name to bring him luck. Although young, he has had many scandalous headlines as his former manger “Poj Anon” has accused Ken of getting mutiple nose jobs and teeth fixed. Also accusing Ken of forgetting his humble past and being ungrateful. Poj also stated that he never saw Ken pass more than an extra on set , and never saw potential in him as a leading man. Ken’s camp’s strongly denied getting work done and forgetting his past. Poj’s resposes to that was that he never claimed that Ken got work done, but BellBell. Ken has two lakorns under his belt, “Raeng Ngao” with “Janie Tienphosuwan” was Channel 3 top rated lakorn of the year. There has been signs of improvement in acting from his debut to now, but one of his weakest link is his acting ability. Perhaps if he learned to control his facial movements especially his mouth, he will emerge as a strong contender to stay and make it big in the industry. As one of Ken’s biggest assets is his height and good looks(until he opens his mouth of course) and in the industry where many things are superficial, its a great asset to have.
Porshe Saran is one Channel 7’s most recent and only newbie who have made an impact, although he hasn’t had his big moment to shine. He is Channel 7’s brightest star as he is able to compete with the Channel 3 boys, who have made a stronger debut in the entertainment world. Porshe made his acting debut in 2010’s “Look Khon” with “Baifern Pimchanok” He has been criticized by the press for failing to seize the star power claimed by his peers, despite being heavily promoted . Despite the criticism, Porshe has the potential to become one of Channel 7’s top leading man. Porshe has not yet met any scandals thus far, keeping his reputation in tact.
“Om Akapan” made has debut make it 2008, but he did not make an impact until he starred in the lakorn “Prajan Lai Payak” in 2010 with “Aum Patcharapa” and “Vier Sukollawat” as supporting. Viewers felt a connection to him as the ill-fated mafia/drug leader who unsuccessful tries to win the heart of the nang’ek. Getting promoted to leading man in the follow-up and hit drama “Sao Chai High-Tech” with “Jui Warattaya”. Om has a quiet and likeable presence and energy on-screen, off-screen he’s not as successfully. Om has proclaim his love and admiration for two leading actress, “Min Pechaya” and “Chat Pariyachat”, both shot him down citing no road for the future. Om has been under Polyplus Production, and as of recently won’t be renewing a contract with them, rumours has it he will be signing a contract with Channel 7. With Polyplus he had a chance to work for both Channels, giving him more opportunities. Will it signal a more successfully path taken or will become the end of the road for him?
